The New Heartsavers of Americaby Arvin Figueroa RN
"This is where you put your fingers," Leila Busch (above) instructs a student. PNAGKC provided the third CPR class for the students of St. Pius High School , on March 13, l998 at Trinity North Hospital. There were fifty eight junior and senior students attendees . So far, this is the largest group of students we have trained. Despite the crowd , these students listened attentively to the lecture of Becky Lyttle and all completed the written and practical test without any trouble. Teaching CPR to the layman is but one of our several annual community projects. This valuable service was possible due to the hard work of the following volunteers: Cora Zamora-chairpeson, Leila Busch- coordinator , Becky Lyttle -nurse educator Health Midwest , Regina Ancola Upton and Arvin Figueroa- Instructors and volunteers Joy Doolin, Venir Rivera and Sonia Tumanut. Thanks to them, we have 58 new heartsavers and making America a little safer! |
