Writer’s Block As I write this editorial, Ernie Rosas is stuck somewhere in the bowels of La Guardia Airport in New York a day late trying to get back to Kansas City along with 4 of our most dedicated delegate members. With them comes a whole new lot of knowledge & information absorbed from the PNAA National Convention held in New York City (Not to mention the highly coveted 1st Prize trophy and plate for the annual chapter variety presentation! Victory is sweet!) Gloating aside, PNAGKC is poised with some new and exciting challenges ahead as brought about by several factors. First, a vast majority of the PNAA movers have recently recognized the importance of our local chapter in disseminating information and accomplishing PNAA goals. Second, we have maintained an active roster of members who made it possible for PNAGKC to grow and achieve visibility as a forerunner in the community. Lastly, our leaders have raised the bar and challenged themselves and the membership in accomplishing its goals towards the turn of the century. There’s still a lot of work to do and fun to share and just imagine, this group started only with a handful of nurses a few years ago with a common purpose, a dose of creativity and a passion to do good mixed with a little fun along the way. Summer has indeed come upon us and what better time to plant seeds of growth than now! Rizvend P. |
