Nursing is a risky business!!! It is a very demanding and strenuous job! I am sure that most of us can say "Amen" to this statement especially in this day and age. But despite the many trials and tribulations in nursing, why do we do what we do? Where are we going? How do we get there? The answer may not be final, but it is as unique as you and me.

In my long course of nursing career, (too long to mention) I have witnessed the dramatic transitions in our nursing profession. We are caught in a momentum of immense transformation. Our professional climate has changed. Today, it is almost imperative not only to keep abreast with our clinical expertise but to stay ahead in order to secure our marketability. Several nurses leave bedside nursing due to the increasing workload demands, a need for a change, or the desire to explore other nursing career opportunities. Nursing offers this diversity. You can go sideways or up the career ladder. Whether you elect to work in your present comfort zone or choose to change to another job position, it is important to have a game plan and to master its strategies. Job security is a thing of the past.

PNAGKC worked hard and played hard this summer. We served our purpose, shared our vision and lived our mission. We achieved significant accomplishments affecting our community. In this shaky world of ours, PNAGKC knows why we do what we do and where we are going!!! Come aboard and see the difference!!!
