My best accomplishments 1988: "I was the first Filipino American nurse to receive one of the highest awards to nurses in the U.S., "Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing" together with current ANA president, Dr. Beverly Malone. In the Philippines, I published two books: Nursing Fundamentals (1981) and Nursing Research in the Philippines: A Sourcebook (1980)
I joined PNAGKC because "... of my desire to meet and be acquainted with nurses in the Greater Kansas City Area. The 6th Anniversary Dinner Dance last April 12 was such fun too that it is another reason to keep joining."
Thoughts about Nursing "Nurses are key members of the health care system in every society worldwide. We have to keep our knowledge, skills and political acumen on the cutting edge."
