Yes, it is time to "re-pot" and re-establish individual, professional, and family goals. Just like one author wrote… "Repotting is like the time when we transform our life, to bring more growth and pursue other dreams." I am sure those gardeners among you understand what I am talking about. Assess the landscape of our lives, get rid of weeds, remember the fertilizer, light and water and network with other gardeners.

Now back to business, we are preparing for our free Heath Fair for August 11 at the Filipino Cultural Center, and of course for our annual family camping trip at Watkins Mill on August 31-Sept 1. I am also very proud to announce that June 15 is the groundbreaking day for the Missouri & Kansas Friendship Gawad Kalinga Village in Roterville, Bulacan. Our Filipino Association choir and youth group have raised enough money to buy a home for one family. PNAGKC also has pledged one house to Gawad Kalinga in Bulacan and another  in the Bicol area. I want to thank the Philippine Cultural Society in Columbia and Sally Poepsel for their $1000.00 donation.

We are also very excited to attend the 28th PNAA National Convention at the Sheraton Park Hotel Anaheim Resort on July 11-15, 2007. PNAGKC is representing the North Central Region at the talent show and I will be with the Forum of Circle of Presidents. Participants for the upcoming medical mission to Eastern Samar are also busy preparing and packing supplies. This medical mission is scheduled on October 11-15, 2007.

A special thanks to the South Platte Rotary Club and the golf tournament committee led by Rizvend. Pecana Last June 11, 2007, we were blessed with 104 golf players and a nice cool cloudy morning just perfect for a round of golf. Funds raised during this event will support our Philippine medical mission on January 14-18, 2008.

Now in ending, I would like to tell you about a story of the fisherman who keeps on throwing back the big fishes he was catching. Another fisherman finally asked him why he was throwing them back to the ocean. He answered, "I only have a small 6-inch frying pan".
