Tess Laoruangroch, received the Research Medical Center's 2004 Frist Humanitarian Award as Employee of the Year, last March 18, 2005.  This is the highest honor that any HCA employee can receive.  Her dedication to service for the people of Research Medical Center and for the people of the community was greatly appreciated and recognized.

The Frist Humanitarian Awards were created to recognize one employee and one volunteer at each HCA-affiliated facility who demonstrates extraordinary concern for the welfare and happiness of patients and their community.

The Frist Humanitarian Awards, created in 1971, are given annually in recognition of the humanitarian spirit and philanthropic work of the late Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Sr., a founder of HCA.

At the reception luncheon, Tess received a bronze statue, $1,000 in HCA stock, a $5,000 gift to the charity of her choice, and a $5,000 cash gift.
